A huge congratulations to St Josephs AFC Club/Facility Manager Kevin Fitzgerald who graduated today with a Masters (MSc) in Sport Management in UCD. The key areas covered include Operations/Governance / People Management/ High Performance/ Event Management/ Sustainability with a research dissertation at the end of the program.Kevin's dissertation looked at identifying what the optimum age is for players to specialise in football and also included a review of the LOI underage academy from the perspective of key practitioners since the introduction of the u13 LOI Academy League in 2019.
Kevin's plan is to practically apply the theory and best practices in the continuous improvement of the club. We wish Kevin well and look forward to working with him to continually improve, adapt and move forward within the seemingly ever-changing landscape of Youth Football in Ireland.
